Understanding Modes of Payment for Your Trip to Bhutan

Secure Transaction: Rest assured, your transaction with Raven Tours and Treks for your Bhutan trip is safe and straightforward. The Department of Tourism (DoT) oversees the entire payment process, ensuring your peace of mind. Your total payment, encompassing the trip cost, sustainable development fees(SDF), and any visa fees, will be made before your arrival in Bhutan. This deposit is directly credited to our company account with either the Bank of Bhutan or the Bhutan National Bank.

Upon full payment, the bank will release funds to the airlines and DoI (Department of Immigration) to confirm your flight reservations and visa application. 

Payment via Credit/Debit Card: You have the following option to book and make a payment

  1. Book directly from our website by making an initial deposit or full payment using your credit or debit card.
  1. We will communicate and finalise the itinerary if your vacation requires further hands-on work to tailor it to your needs and preferences. Once the itinerary is finalised, you can make payment, which will be instantaneous via credit or debit card.

Payment by Payment by Wire Transfer: For your convenience, Raven Tours and Treks, like all licensed tour operators in Bhutan, maintains accounts with the Bank of Bhutan and the Bhutan National Bank. These banks, registered with the Department of Tourism(DoT), facilitate your travel arrangements. Once your trip is booked, we’ll provide you with our bank details in Bhutan. You can then instruct your bank to remit payment, identifying Raven Tours and Treks and its account as the Ultimate Beneficiary. Simply send us a copy of your remittance slip; payments are typically processed within two or three business days. We’ll promptly send you an e-mail confirmation upon receipt of your transfer.

Note: We can also accept payments in USD or Euros by using online money transfer services, such as Wise or Revolut

Transfer Fees: 

If you’re paying via credit card, we’ll need to apply an additional charge of 4.2 % in transfer fees. This breaks down as follows:

If you choose to pay by bank transfer or online money transfer instead, 1.2% transfer fee will be applied to each transaction.

Cancellation:

If you cancel your travel reservations for any reason, voluntary or involuntary, cancellation fees will be incurred according to the following schedule. We believe in transparency and want you to be fully aware of our policies.
