The Four Boutique Hotel is a three-story resort near the village of Khuruthang, about 15 minutes from Punakha itself. From the moment you enter its doors, you’ll be welcomed into a tranquil atmosphere with hand-painted Bhutanese artwork, a comfortable lounge area, and an elaborately landscaped waterfall feature in the lobby. If you prefer to dine in town, exchange your currency in the hotel lobby and visit nearby Khuruthang. In addition to its charming cafes, you’ll find plenty of local markets to explore here. There’s also a small temple in Khuruthang which is worth a look; its lavishly decorated chorten is a photographer’s delight.
