Enjoy five-star accommodations at each of Amankora
The Team
COMO Uma

This hilltop luxury resort is part of the COMO Hotels and Resorts international brand, and it’s undoubtedly one of Bhutan’s finest. Rates here are a bit pricier than some other accommodations in Paro, but the resort’s exclusive services and amenities are second to none. The hotel is comprised of 20 luxury rooms and nine private villas, arranged across 38 acres of tranquil pine forest. You can opt for a Forest View room to enjoy hand-painted Bhutanese artwork and a great vantage point of the Himalayan foothills, or you can choose a Valley View room to enjoy a larger living space and fantastic outlooks over Paro. Larger suites and villas are also available; each option comes with laundry facilities, maid services, internet access, and currency exchange. Hotel staff can even assist with your travel arrangements in town.
Uma Paro’s restaurant is said to be a favorite of the royal family; most ingredients are sourced locally, with the bulk of its produce coming from the organic kitchen garden. You can work up a sweat at the fitness center, enjoy a swim at the indoor heated pool, or relax with a traditional hot stone bath. Uma Paro can also schedule exclusive activities, such as archery games or yoga lessons led by distinguished instructors. If you’re celebrating a birthday or anniversary, ask about dining privately in the candlelit inner courtyard. The resort’s location near the airport provides easy access to the whole city, but it’s unlikely that you’ll find a single more romantic spot.
